On first impressions, this sounds like a fairly standard battle royale mode. The mode is set on Drakemoor island, which has recently seen an environmental disaster. In Frontline’s Expeditions mode, players are thrust into a 102 player lobby made up of 34 teams of three. While some fans are disappointed to see the Ghost Recon franchise produce its own battle royale mode and follow in the footsteps of the likes of Call of Duty Warzone, and Battlefield 5: Firestorm, others have noted that Ghost Recon Frontline’s Expedition mode looks like a unique take on the genre. This is Frontline’s large scale battle royale-type mode that has provoked equal parts interest and ire in the Ghost Recon fanbase. But the main mode that will be of interest to fans is Frontline’s new Expedition mode. The first of which is a nine vs nine domination mode called Control, which will have a familiar premise to most fans of multiplayer shooters.

Despite the negative reaction from some, others will be hoping for a different outcome in the case of Ghost Recon Frontline.
